The explosive condiment is 60 percent capsaicin, which is the compound that makes peppers taste hot. Its unique composition means it congeals into a solid form, and it may need to be heated up 140°F to come out of the bottle. Mad Dog emphasizes that their pepper extract should only be used as a food additive in minuscule amounts. If directly ingested or applied to the body, it could cause serious injury.
