Little Debbie Is Launching an Ice Cream Line Inspired By Its Snack Cakes
Little Debbie's pastries have been around for decades, and in 2022, fans of the snack cakes are getting a whole new way to enjoy them. As Food & Wine reports, the brand is releasing a line of ice cream inspired by its beloved baked goods. The frozen concoctions are a collaboration between Little Debbie and Hudsonville Ice Cream. Each flavor in the new line is based on a classic cake or cookie sold under the Little Debbie banner.
If your pantry is always stocked with Cosmic Brownies, you can now add brownie batter ice cream with rainbow chips and brownie pieces to your freezer. The Nutty Bars ice cream features peanut butter ice cream swirled with waffle cone pieces and fudge. For fans of the brand's classic Swiss Rolls, there's a chocolatey ice cream made with chocolate cake chunks and whipped cream swirls. Other Little Debbie products that will soon be sold by the pint include Oatmeal Creme Pies, Zebra Cakes, Honey Buns, and Strawberry Shortcake Rolls.
All seven flavors will be available starting Tuesday, February 1 for $2.50 per carton. The ice cream is sold exclusively by Walmart, but you'll have plenty of time to find a store near you. The treats are part of a continuous partnership between Little Debbie and Hudsonville, and they will be available in the frozen aisle year-round.
If you think Zebra Cake ice cream or any of the other treats sound unusual, you probably haven't heard of flavors like pickled mango and pear and blue cheese. Here are more strange but real ice cream varieties offered around the world.
