You Could Win a Seat on One of the First Virgin Galactic Space Flights

Space tourism has slipped the surly bonds of science fiction novels and is now an impending reality here on Earth. And through Omaze, one lucky winner and a guest will get a spot on one of Virgin Galactic’s first flights into space.

Besides making history with your ticket into space, you’ll also be flown out to New Mexico to Virgin Galactic’s Spaceport America. While there, your hotel accommodations will be included, and you’ll go on a personal VIP tour of the “Gateway to Space” from the Virgin Group founder himself, Sir Richard Branson.

Next, you will all board the spaceship, and, according to Omaze, "you’ll take off smoothly, just like an airplane, and watch as the colors outside your window change from blue to indigo to midnight black." Once you're far above the Earth, you’ll be able to float about the cabin and take in the sights of space. Cameras and mirrors will be readily available to help you capture and see yourself in this iconic moment. Then, after some time, you’ll come back down to Earth as one of the planet's first space tourists.

To put your name forward for this once-in-a-lifetime experience, you don’t have to donate any money. However, every dollar you contribute can help you get more entries and chances to win this sweepstakes. You can donate $5 for 50 entries, $10 for 100, $25 for 250, $50 for 1000, and $100 for 2000.

All the donations for this experience will support the non-profit organization Space for Humanity, whose mission is to help everyone access outer space and train tomorrow’s leaders for a sustainable future.
