This Cool T-Shirt Shows Every Object Brought on the Apollo 11 Mission

Fringe Focus
Fringe Focus

NASA launched the Apollo 11 mission on July 16, 1969, ending the space race and beginning a new era of international space exploration. Just in time for the mission's 50th anniversary this year, Fringe Focus is selling a t-shirt that displays every item the Apollo 11 astronauts brought with them to the Moon.

The design, by artist Rob Loukotka, features some of the iconic objects from the mission, such as a space suit and helmet, as well as the cargo that never made it to primetime. Detailed illustrations of freeze-dried meals, toiletries, and maintenance kits are included on the shirt. The artist looked at 200 objects and chose to represent some similar items with one drawing, ending up with 69 pictures in total.

The unisex shirt is made from lightweight cotton, and comes in seven sizes ranging from small to 4XL. It's available in black heather or heather midnight navy for $29.

If you really like the design, the artwork is available in other forms. The same illustration has also been made into poster with captions indicating which pictures represent multiple items of a similar nature.

LEGO Debuts Jurassic Park T. Rex Rampage Set for the Movie's 26th Anniversary

LEGO

Jurassic Park roared into theaters on June 11, 1993, and 26 years later, elements from the filmfrom the theme music to the Tyrannosaurus rex logo—have become still iconic. In honor of the anniversary, LEGO Jurassic World has announced a new set that recreates some of the most famous scenes from the original movie.

The 3120 toy bricks in the Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage set come together to form the Jurassic Park gates and a hulking T. rex model. The posable dinosaur with snapping jaws has six minifigures to terrorize: Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, John Hammond, Ian Malcolm, Ray Arnold, and Dennis Nedry. A baby dinosaur toy is also included.

The 16-inch gates leading to Jurassic Park can be opened with a trigger. On the other side of the facade are chambers holding bonus items and scenes from the movie. Ellie Sattler can investigate the power shed, Alan Grant can study a dinosaur nest with eggshells, and Dennis Nedry can drop his fake shaving cream can down a mudslide (the Nedry minifigure even has a face depicting what he looks like post-Dilophosaurus attack). And though a minifigure of lawyer Donald Gennaro is missing from the set, there is a toilet in case you want to recreate his infamous death with another character.

The Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage set (as well as a smaller Jurassic Park-inspired set called Dilophosaurus on the Loose) will be available for $250 when it's made available in stores and online on July 1. If you're looking to recreate even more of the movie at home, you can pick up the velociraptor chase scene set that came out last year.
