How to Get a Free Holiday Drink at Starbucks for Your Friend This Week

Whether you dread the Christmas creep or have been blasting holiday music since November 1, we're guessing you can get on board with this new promotion from Starbucks. As Refinery29 reports, customers who order a seasonal drink from the coffee chain this week can get a free holiday beverage for a friend.

With their special offer, named the Give Good Share Event, Starbucks hopes they will be "encouraging customers to Give Good to their loved ones," according to a press release. To take part, you and your companion can walk into any of the participating locations in the U.S. and Canada and order one of the beverages from their holiday menu. This includes classics like the peppermint mocha and gingerbread latte, as well as recent additions from the past few years like the holiday spice flat white and chestnut praline latte. Cake pops are also included in the buy-one-get-one deal. The promotion will take place every day between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. from November 9 through November 13.

The winter holiday season is a truly magical time of year for Starbucks, with revenues for the company often spiking in the December quarter. But if you miss the promotion this week, there's no rush: You have until mid-to-late January to order from the holiday menu, just without the free drink deal.
