This Universal Game Controller Could Be the Only One You'll Ever Need
If gaming is your hobby of choice, your living room stands a good chance of looking like a Best Buy dumpster. Every platform has a different controller, resulting in clutter. If they happen to be wired, your game area becomes a trip hazard.
The team behind the ALL Controller is looking to change that. Originating as a Kickstarter campaign that has already exceeded its original $59,638 goal, developers at Digital Depth are positioning their all-in-one controller as a truly universal device that can be customized to work with the latest platforms. If you own a PC, Mac, Apple products, Android, iOS, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, or the last three generation of Nintendo consoles, the ALL works with them all.
That cross-compatibility is the result of 11 different USB drivers and seven Bluetooth drivers—all built in. An LCD screen allows users to select their hardware of choice, letting the controller adapt to the specific needs of the unit. It’s also wireless, with up to 40 hours of play time available on a single charge. If you want to try and configure it for non-gaming purposes, the controls can also be mapped for Photoshop, iTunes, and other software.
The ALL is currently available for pre-order in packages starting at $44 and is due to begin shipping in the spring of 2018.
