Jonathan's Starbucks Card Wants to Buy You a Drink
This is Jonathan Stark’s Starbucks Card and he wants you to use it to buy yourself a coffee. Really, he does. So, feel free to head out and get yourself a strong cup of joe or a latte on him.
What’s the catch? Well, technically there isn’t one. If you take your free drink and go on about your day, he’s totally fine with that. But, he is hoping that some people out there find it in their hearts to help the card stay loaded:
If you're feeling generous, you can also add money to my Starbucks card by doing this and enjoy some serious good karma. Jonathan's Card is an experiment in social sharing of physical goods using digital currency on mobile phones… Based on the similarity to the "take a penny, leave a penny" trays at convenience stores in the US, I've adopted a similar "get a coffee, give a coffee" terminology for Jonathan's Card. As it turns out, this is actually a new take on a wonderful old Italian custom called Caffe Pagato, which translates to English as "Coffee Paid."
