I work in a building called Chelsea Market, which also is home to Food Network. Because of this, I am subjected to a disproportionate amount of advertising for Food Network programs. Don't get me wrong, I like Food Network. This summer, the shows to which I most look forward are Big Love and The Next Food Network Star. However, when a large Ace of Cakes billboard went up across the street, I remember thinking it was a show I'd never watch.
