If you’re in the market for a soy sauce dish that’s as aesthetically pleasing as your sushi, look no further. These creative dishes, spotted by Gizmodo, transform into mend-bending 3D shapes with the addition of the condiment.
“Soy Shape” from Tokyo-based designer Duncan Shotton uses creative ceramic designs to simulate tricky optical effects. The product comes in two shapes—a triangle and cubes. According to the project’s Kickstarter page, “Their irregular inner surface takes advantage of the natural color gradation that occurs in soy sauce at shallow depths.”
The campaign has already raised nearly $10,000 through crowdfunding, exceeding their initial goal of $6615. A dish of your choice can be claimed with a pledge of $20 or more to Soy Shape’s Kickstarter with delivery estimated for October of this year.
