When you're choosing which book to read next, do you sift through bestseller lists or reach out for recommendations from friends? And when you've decided on a title, do you wander through endless shelves at bookstores or hunt around online for the right title? And do you ever wish you could just streamline the whole process? Luckily, Book of the Month is here, and promises to take the guesswork out of leisurely reading.
Founded 90 years ago, the Book of the Month relaunched online this year. On the first day of every month, a panel of judges selects five new titles—in a range of genres from mystery to memoir—out of hundreds of candidates. Subscribers then choose one of the hardcover books by the sixth day, and the book is shipped from the warehouse on the seventh, simplifying the process and eliminating the need to go to a physical store.
Membership plans start at $17 and vary depending on the length of the subscription and the number of books included. The Book of the Month also allows users to skip a month if they are not ready to crack open another title. Take a look at the group's current selections here.
