There's something different about the Philadelphia accent that can be hard to pin down or imitate. Mo Rocca took to the streets in this segment on CBS This Morning to search for native pronunciations. He gets at the unusual vowels of fight and spider, the difference between mad and sad, the similarity between balance and bounce, and the true Philly way to say "Go home, get on the phone, and order me a hoagie." Of course wooder and the iggles make an appearance too. He also interviews linguist Meredith Tamminga of the University of Pennsylvania to shed some light on how this accent got to be so distinctive.
