The Internet Archive posted a large archive of TV commercials that ran during Saturday morning cartoons (or other cartoon content) in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Here's one video, selected at random, showing ten minutes of commercials circa March 1989. Enjoy:

And here's my rundown of the ads in the video above:

  • NBC "Come Home to the Best" ad
  • Tonight on Disney: Gizmoduck on Super DuckTales (animated Easter special)
  • The Magical World of Disney promo
  • Michael Eisner (then Disney CEO) explains why DuckTales is on primetime TV
  • Kellogg's Raisin Bran (man doesn't deserve "two scoops")
  • Judy Tenuta for Diet Dr. Pepper
  • Johnson's Baby Shampoo, featuring a sporty dad
  • Scrabble at McDonald's (hip-hop ad)
  • Lysol Light Scent
  • Promise Margarine
  • Holidays Chocolate (by M&Ms) for Easter
  • Brand new Apple Cinnamon Cheerios
  • Kleenex Huggies Supertrim w/Exclusive Dry-Touch System
  • Wrigley's gum ("Share a little piece of America" ad)
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken
  • Florida Orange Juice
  • Quantum Leap
  • Ziploc
  • Red Lobster (kids' dinner $1.95)
  • Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran (man lies to his wife about cereal consumption)
  • Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
  • Jello Pudding

If you like that, there's plenty more. (See also: 80 Minutes of '80s and '90s TV Commercials.)
