John Collins is one of the world’s foremost experts in paper airplane design. That’s because in 2012, he broke the record for longest paper airplane throw, launching his origami aircraft 214 feet. 

Watch the video above from Great Big Story to learn how to make the plane design that won Collins the record, named the “Susanne” after his wife. It’s just eight folds—but as with any successful paper aircraft, they have to be very accurately folded. So make those creases crisp!
