The Museum of Modern Art Posts 65,000 Works of Art Online

From legendary artists like Salvador Dalí and Vincent van Gogh to modern creatives like Richard Aldrich and Mary Weatherford, New York City’s Museum of Modern Art is home to a collection of over 200,000 works of art by more than 10,000 contemporary and modern artists—many of which you can now view from home. MoMA has posted more than 65,000 pieces of its fine art collection online, for anyone to view for free.

The collection features various classifications—including Paintings, Photographs, Installations, and Sculptures—ranging from the 1800s to today. It’s an impressive array of styles and mediums from important artists, all in one searchable online database. For anyone who doesn’t live near New York City, it’s the perfect opportunity to examine MoMA’s collection from the comfort of home.
