My knowledge of British royalty is basically nil; when a Jeopardy! question comes on about Charles-the-something, I just tune out for a bit. CGP Grey to the rescue! In this nine-minute video, Grey gives us a somewhat simplified (ahem, cough, sputter, the complexity is mind-boggling) history of the family starting in 1066.

While I don't feel that I've retained much from this whirlwind history tour, I did find it delightful, and now I know precisely where I'll turn when I want to know who begat/beheaded whom. Enjoy:
