Monarch Butterflies are beginning their fall migration as I write this. They head from the northern reaches of the U.S. into Mexico. If you've lived where Monarchs spend the caterpillar phase of their lives, you've likely seen a chrysalis form and perhaps you've been lucky enough to witness a Monarch emerging. You can also try this at home, though the butterflies are Painted Ladies rather than Monarchs. If you'd rather feed Monarchs in the wild, try creating your own Monarch butterfly rest stop.
