What's Your Very Specific Dream Job?

On Fridays, we ask a bunch of unrelated questions. Your answers help get us through the afternoon. Answer one, answer all, or ask your own question. On to this week's topics...

1. What's your (very specific) dream job? Forget about educational requirements or your lack of relevant experience. You can choose whatever job you'd like. I've thought about this a lot in the last four minutes: I'd like to be the director of marketing for an expansion NBA franchise in a city without another major sports team in the two years prior to the inaugural game. (With a driver, of course.) Or the head of fundraising for a children's charity, responsible for convincing people to donate cool stuff to put up for auction. (From home, preferably.) How about you?

2. Where were you 20 years ago today? If you can't pinpoint exactly what you were doing February 6, 1995, what was going on in your life that month/year?

3. During my junior year of high school, Mr. Potters wheeled in a TV so we could watch the original O.J. verdict. I can't remember any other time we watched live TV in class. (I do remember being surprised room B-16 had cable.) Did your teachers ever interrupt regularly scheduled learning to watch live TV in the classroom?

4. Your turn! Got a question for the group? Ask it here. Have a great weekend!

Oh, and if you know any college students who can write, tell them we've extended our College Weekend deadline to Monday, February 9th.

On Fridays we ask a bunch of unrelated questions. Your answers help get us through the afternoon. On to this week's topics...

1. What's the strangest thing someone could learn about you by Googling your name? And has anyone who shares your name done anything remarkable? There's a Jason English who's almost exactly my age. He allegedly bit someone's ear off and flushed it down the toilet. It will be tough to rise above that in the search rankings.

2. What's something you regret quitting?

3. If you could change one rule in any board game, what would it be? (If you have a specific house rule you think the world should adopt, let us hear it.)

4. Do the kids celebrate Mischief Night/Devil's Eve in your neighborhood? What's the worst incident you remember?

5. Got a question for the group? Ask away. Have a great weekend and happy Halloween!
