Starting in 1985, Macworld Expo was the premiere showcase for new Mac software and hardware. Yesterday, Macworld Expo's parent company announced that the show (now called Macworld/iWorld) was finished.

This gives me a great excuse to show you a half-hour Computer Chronicles show about the Mac broadcast in 1985 and featuring the very first Macworld Expo. The Mac itself was introduced in 1984, and one year into its life, people were asking what they could do with this new machine. The answer boiled down to one word: graphics.
