Not-so-breaking news: It’s been absolutely freezing in many U.S. states this week. The sub-zero temperatures have been caused by a polar vortex sweeping through the country.

This bone-chilling cold has forced many to bundle up in jackets, sweaters, scarves, hats, mittens, and whatever else they can find that will help them stay even just relatively warm as they step outside. However, one iconic Star Wars actor wants to remind us all that there’s one important article of clothing that's perfect for battling the weather.

Billy Dee Williams, who plays the franchise's debonair Lando Calrissian, took to Twitter on Wednesday to share his best wishes for those dealing with frigid temperatures:

That’s some heartfelt advice from Williams, who knows a thing or two about capes, as we saw in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

To the delight of Star Wars fans everywhere, Williams will be reprising his Lando role in this year's Star Wars: Episode IX. The film, which completes the Skywalker Saga, will arrive in theaters on December 20, 2019.
