Tony DeRose is Pixar's Senior Scientist, and he uses math to make movies. In this TED-Ed talk, he explains to kids how basic math functions within animation. It may be pretty simple, but have a look:

To get more into DeRose's work, here's a 15-minute talk. It includes the basic math bits, but also gets into the projects he does with his kids.

And here's a 45-minute talk by DeRose, with much sketchier audio and video. It digs into the math bits in much more detail, though the recording isn't great.

For more on DeRose's work, check out this story from The Verge, or this extensive interview.
