Brain Game: Which -ING This Thanksgiving?

This may be a difficult word ladder; it took me 11 steps, so I imagine some of you can improve on that number. What's your Thanksgiving side dish of choice, stuffing or dressing?

By changing one letter at a time to form different English words, and leaving all other letters in their original positions, convert STUFF into DRESS in the fewest steps possible. Good luck!
