Google's Play

Some of you might have noticed it already, but I only saw it last night: a new addition to my Gmail menu. Right up there at the top, where I've drawn the arrow on the image above, you'll find a new product called Play, which, for all intents and purposes, we could call the Google equivalent of iTunes. There's books, music, movies, games, TV shows, some free, some for sale, but all downloadable to your Android device. Since we're not really in the business of reviewing tech products on the _floss (never have been), I'll leave that for you guys to do in the comments below. I'm just here to point out that this exists now, which can't be a bad thing, right? By the way, I did a quick Play search for Moby's Play and nothing came up... You'd think that would be the poster album of the service. Hmmm. Maybe Moby is an iPhone-only kinda guy. (Or am I showing my age here?)
