The highest score possible on the arcade version of Pac-Man is 3,333,360 points. To achieve this score, a player must consume every single pellet, piece of food and ghost on the game's 256 levels – all on a single life. The score was first achieved in 1999 by a man named Billy Mitchell, who took more than 6 hours to accomplish the feat.

Related Fact: To celebrate Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary in May 2010, Google unveiled a logo featuring a playable version of the game, complete with those four googly-eyed ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. According to one estimate, the game accounted for 4,819,352 lost man hours. If you’re really intent on wrecking your productivity, it can still be found here.
