Everyone's seen comfy, soft and ergonomic chairs. You've probably even seen uncomfortable chairs that were just designed badly or cheaply, but you probably haven't seen too many chairs designed solely to be uncomfortable. Sometimes designers need to stretch their minds through experimentation though, and the 13 chairs on this WebUrbanist post are a perfect example.
This pencil chair created by German designer Kerstin Schulz looks like it would be more appropriate in a interrogation room than a living room. To be fair though, the chair was created with good reason—to celebrate the pencil company Faber Castell's 100th Anniversary in 2005.
